That’s right…

Me fascina comer, sentir diferentes texturas, combinar sabores y temperaturas, improvisar… Estoy loco por la naturaleza, en especial los animales, así que habrá mucho de ambos aquí. El gol es lo de menos, lo importante es lo que pasa alrededor cuando las redes se mueven. Café, mucho café y paciencia, porque para hablar de política se necesitan ambos.

La verdad es que son muy pocos –y afortunados– los que pueden vivir en México de contar historias, los espacios son reducidos y mal pagados, ah… y la censura, ni hablar. No importa, precisamente porque me apasiona escribir surge este espacio, para intercambiar ideas, para compartir perspectivas.

I love eating, feeling different textures, combining flavours and temperatures, improvising… I’m crazy about nature, especially animals, so there will be a lot of both here. The goal (football) is the least of it, the important thing is what happens around when the net dances. Coffee, lots of coffee, and patience because you need both to talk about politics.

The truth is that there are very few lucky ones who can live in Mexico of telling stories, there isn’t many spaces and most of them are poorly paid, ah … and about the censorship, better not to mention it. It does not matter, precisely because I am passionate about writing, this space arises, to exchange ideas, to share perspectives.

Busco contar historias que a mí me movieron de alguna manera y que, desde mi perspectiva, pueden generar cambios positivos. Si estás aquí por curiosidad o ya sea que estás pasando el rato, ¡bienvenido! Soy un periodista que busca ejercer la libre expresión, sin condiciones ni pretextos. Sin afán de sonar pedante, aquí busco informar, entretener y generar conversación: puede ser del último apocalíptico bache en el que caí –no importa cuándo leas esto, seguro fue ayer–, algún gol en fuera de lugar, la crisis por falta de agua que hay en la Ciudad de México o la belleza de la selva chiapaneca. Pa’ pronto, es poner en la mesa (o “en el internet de las cosas” diría mi amigo Don Pasto) aquello que creo que debería tener más relevancia en la agenda mediática.

Hacer comunidad, plantar árboles y cuidar a los animales son principios que me rigen, por mencionarlos de forma simple. Soy un mentsch (se pronuncia “mench”), que en yidish, idioma que hablaban sabrosísimo mi abuela y mi mamá, es la mescolanza de honorable e íntegro. Soy sarcástico y burlón, sobre aviso no hay engaño. Hablemos de conservación y diversidad, desarollo comunitario, equidad de género, y sobre todo, igualdad de oportunidades. Es inevitable, crecí en un movimiento de educación no formal socialista.

Todos los contenidos de esta página son propios, tanto los que ya publiqué (portafolio) como los inéditos, si algo muy puntual que no es de mi autoría, estará expresado. I seek to tell stories that moved me in some way or another and, from my perspective, can generate positive changes for society or nature. If you are here out of curiosity or whether you’re just hanging out, welcome! I am a journalist exercising free expression, without conditions or excuses. Without trying to sound pedantic, here I seek to inform, entertain and starting conversations: it could be from the last apocalyptic pothole in which I fell –no matter when you read this, it was surely yesterday–; an offside goal, the crisis due to lack of water in Mexico City or the beauty of the Chiapas jungle. Briefly, it is talking about some issues that I think should have more relevance in the media agenda.

Building community, planting trees, and caring for animals are principles that govern me, to mention them simply. I am a mentsch (pronounced “mench”), which in Yiddish, a language that my grandmother and mother spoke deliciously, is the mixture of honorable and upright. I am sarcastic and mocking; on notice there is no deception. Let’s talk about conservation and diversity, community development, gender equity, and above all, equal opportunities. It is inevitable to me; I grew up in a socialist non-formal education movement.

All the contents of this page are my own, both those that I already published (portfolio) and the unpublished ones, if something very specific is not created by me, it will be expressed. Transparency above all: this space has no commitment, legal relationship, or any other type of agreement with any institution, brand, group, or person; when there is such a connection, the text or image will express it explicitly through mentions, references (academic style) or links to the origin.
